Kisling Nestico & Redick: Making Akron Great

Kisling Nestico & Redick has long been a pillar of the greater Akron community. They are associated with compassion for good reason. Each holiday season the law firm can be seen behind many community engagement initiatives. Last year, KNR headed a “Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway”. The event was held at KNR’s Akron office and people attending were able to receive a free turkey in exchange for a lightly-used coat or non-perishable food product. Over the past 5 years, the giveaway has raised enough food for over 269,000 meals. Last year, KNR aimed to hit the 100k mark.

The practice had its origins in Rob Nestico’s childhood. At 15, he was part of a horrific car accident. Rob suffered from two broken kneecaps, a hematoma, and other injuries. The insurance company took advantage of his parents’ lack of English communication skills. Ever since then, he’s wanted to give people a fair shake when it came to insurance claims.

Kisling Nestico & Redick are well-regarded for their ability to navigate the world of insurance law. Their attorneys are full of insider knowledge on the industry. A lot of their staff has previously worked for an insurance company in some form before joining Kisling Nestico & Redick. Much of their work has led them to become a leader in the community. KNR is all about giving back. They’ve been able to raise over $300k for charitable organizations in Ohio.

Another initiative Kisling Nestico & Redick has led a drive to provide winter clothing for children from low-income families attending Innis Elementary School. 52 students were surprised with new winter clothing that included gloves, hats, and jackets. The law firm also donated time by assisting with a Math class.

They’ve also donated money to pay off layaways. Afterward, Kisling Nestico & Redick personally handed the items to families in the area. The donation is a part of their yearly December charity drive called 31 Days of Giving.
