Doe Deere Is Making Women Shine Through Vibrant Colors

You may recognize Doe Deere as the creator of Lime Crime Cosmetics, or as her fan base calls it the makeup for “unicorns.” Deere started the cosmetic line in 2008, during which she and her husband were in a rock band. At the time she was designing clothes and selling them on eBay. Deere’s clothing focused on rebellious punk and she modeled her own clothes, complete with makeup. Soon she became known for her makeup looks that used bright vibrant colors. Deere was having a hard time finding the colors she liked and thought that maybe her fan base would be interested in trying out more colors also. She soon turned her attention on creating fun and colorful makeup, staying true to her style. Deere, afraid of the rejection, quickly found young girls and women loved the shades she was creating. Deere and her husband have since sold Lime Crime Cosmetics, though she still receives mail from customers telling her how much she has positively impacted their lives just by showing them to just be themselves. Deere is showing young girls and women to embrace what they love to wear and not apologize for any of it.

Her next chapter as an entrepreneur is being the founder of Poppy Angeloff, jewelry inspired by family heirlooms that she fell in love with. Deere spent some time learning the ins and outs of not only designing jewelry but also the history of jewelry itself. Jewelry from the Victorian error caught her attention the most and the inspired to Poppy Angeloff. Her and her husband are still involved with Lime Crime Cosmetics but they have turned their focus to building and expanding Poppy Angeloff.

What makes Deere so successful with all her paths as an entrepreneur is the steps she takes. She believes that her passion in what she loves is her number one driver. She also realized that she needs to become the customer and know what that experience is like for future customers. Lastly, Deere understands that risks need to be taken or you may never know if it will succeed.

Jojo Hedaya is a mentor and a star to most people his age. He is 24 years old but has managed to build himself an empire with the help of his business associate, Josh Rosenwald. They came together and built Unroll.Me, an app that keeps the mailbox organized in just two days. Jojo grew up in the City of New York and studied at a private high school there. The school was Jewish. This is one of the many things that he has in common with Josh. He then traveled abroad to study at Brooklyn College. Jojo is a family man with a wife and a son whom he enjoys spending time with.

While in college, Jojo was frustrated because Josh took too long or never responded to his emails. He later came to find out that Josh had a hard time tracing the emails as they were hidden under many promotion and subscription emails . They, therefore, decided to start Unroll.Me which organizes emails and deletes spams. It also puts all subscriptions under one email hence tidying the mailbox. Unroll.Me became a fan favorite within the first two years of its establishment and has since maintained an upward trend. Jojo and Rosenwald wanted a unique name for their app and spent a considerable amount of time looking up names. When they came across unroll it stuck with them. Hedaya and Josh did not take a lot of time in launching Unroll.Me as they did not want to waste a lot of resources and money.

Jojo had to drop out of college where he was the Vice President to focus on Unroll.Me. He was very close to completing his degree with only three credits left. Jojo believes that the skills and experience he has earned from working with Unroll.Me is better than any education can offer, but he still insists that education is essential. Hedaya later completed college attaining degrees in Business and Philosophy. He says that leaving college to start a business is completely risky as over 90% of startups fail. He considers himself lucky for the success of Unroll.Me. Jojo loves sharing his knowledge with others at conferences and events.
