In the last four decades of his work, Dr. Saad Saad has established himself as one of the most prominent pediatric surgeons. He has done thousands of complicated pediatric surgeries from children of all ages and backgrounds. When he was currently based in New Jersey, he volunteered in a total of eight medical missions in Jerusalem to help poor children get the services they need. Additionally, Dr. Saad Saad also owns two patents for his inventions to improve the pediatric surgery practice.
Dr. Saad Saad recalls his experience as a high school student in Kuwait. In 1965, he initially thought of being an engineer like his two brothers. However, during the summer, he experienced high-temperature outdoors, which went to over 110 degrees Fahrenheit. He then realized that he wanted to have a profession where he would work indoors and do not need to expose himself to the heat for health reasons.
Throughout his career as a doctor, Dr. Saad Saad has gone to several countries treating children from both rich and poor families. In one occasion, Dr. Saad worked in Riyadh at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital. The Protocol Office and the Hospital Chief asked specifically for his services to perform even the most complex pediatric surgeries. Most of the medical professionals working in the hospital are highly trained with years of experience.
His stay in the said hospital gave him one of the most memorable surgery experience. A baby in the hospital was admitted, the youngest to have a case of an aneurysm. Dr. Saad Saad was able to save the baby’s life and was able to promote the study of this case to educate other medical professionals.

Dr. Saad Saad was born in Palestine and eventually moved to Kuwait. He was one of the family’s eight children–all of which have highly-esteemed degrees. Dr. Saad earned his medical degree in Cairo University at Egypt in which he finished with honors and ranked as a salutatorian in his class.
Dr. Saad Saad admittedly says that he grew up in a poor family. He mentioned that it was his strongest motivation to strive and do well in medical school. He believes that difficult situations bring the best in people, and this is where he attributes his success in his academics and career.
Dr. Saad worked as the Surgeon-in-Chief at the K Hovnanian Children Hospital in New Jersey. This was after he passed a training opportunity that allowed him to work in the USA.
